🗞️ Shashi Tharoor’s ‘Maun Vrat’ Sparks Buzz Ahead of Operation Sindoor Debate😶
TL;DR: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor refused to comment on Operation Sindoor before Monday’s Parliament debate, responding only with “Maun Vrat” (vow of silence). He is unlikely to speak in the Lok Sabha, and tensions with his party continue over his perceived proximity to the government.
Entering Parliament on July 28, 2025, reporters asked Shashi Tharoor whether he would comment on #OperationSindoor 😶. His only reply: “Maun Vrat, Maun Vrat” 🙊. This vow of silence has gone viral 😵💫 and raised questions over his stand in the Parliament debate 🏛️.
Tharoor isn’t expected to speak in #LokSabha 💬 during the debate on #PahalgamAttack 😐. Party sources said he neither offered to speak nor was he chosen by Congress leadership 🙅. Other leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Gaurav Gogoi are expected to represent Congress 🎤.
Tharoor recently praised the govt’s handling of Operation Sindoor 🫡. That didn't sit well with some Congress leaders 😤, especially in Kerala 🥥. They demanded he be kept out of party meetings 🙅♂️. Tensions are rising in the party ranks 😬!
This mega-debate is about India’s retaliation after the deadly #PahalgamTerrorAttack 💣 on April 22 😢. The NDA is praising its military and diplomatic moves 💪, while the opposition is ready to grill them 🔥. The entire #ParliamentSession is gonna be a dramatic showdown 🤯!
Govt side: Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Jaishankar – all the big names ready to defend India’s response 💥
Opposition: Questioning intel failures 🧐, Trump’s shocking claims about peace negotiations 💬, and demanding answers from PM Modi 🔍

Boss, when the country’s dealing with terror, silence ain’t golden 😒. MPs like Tharoor should speak up 💬. Why is he scared? People want clarity and courage from their leaders 🧑🌾. Looks like elite netas care more about image than real issues 😤. Real heroes are the jawans and farmers who never keep Maun Vrat when it’s about desh ki baat ✊.
