News · 2025-09-30T13:09:43.123Z

TL;DR: Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG stormed past Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise with ₹148.75 Cr in just 5 days 🤑🔥. It now enters the Top 10 Telugu grossers of all time.

Pawan Kalyan is back with a bang, bros 💥! After a dull run with Hari Hara Veera Mallu, his latest film They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth and co-starring Emraan Hashmi, is rewriting records .

Premiere shows alone fetched ₹21 Cr 💸—biggest in India.

Day 1: ₹63.75 Cr (₹63 Cr from Telugu version).

By Day 5: Total = ₹148.75 Cr; Telugu version = ₹145.11 Cr .

Surpassed Pushpa: The Rise’s ₹136.43 Cr (Telugu collections) .

Pushpa: The Rise set a huge benchmark in 2021 🌲🔥. Beating it means OG is now rubbing shoulders with the likes of RRR, Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD & Salaar .

Pawan fans: Full paisa vasool after years .

Allu Arjun fans: Feeling the heat but waiting for Pushpa 2 to strike back .

Exhibitors: Happy pockets with repeat audiences .

For youth & film lovers, this means Telugu cinema’s power is going global 🌍. With such box office fire, local jobs in film crew, theatres, food stalls, even auto guys around theatres get a boost 🚖.

Numbers are thrilling, but sustaining the buzz matters 📈. Will OG challenge the monster ₹400 Cr clubs of RRR or Baahubali? Time will tell. Till then, it’s Jai Powerstar vibes everywhere 🤘. What do you think—can OG topple Pushpa 2 too?
