Hey tech enthusiasts! If you ever had your smartphone stolen and the thief turned it off, you know how tough it can be to track it down. But guess what? Google's upcoming Android 15 update is about to change the game. With this new feature, Android users will be able to locate their smartphones even when they're switched off!
Google is rolling out its Android 15 update soon. Once you install it, you'll have the ability to find your phone even if it's turned off. This is a significant upgrade as such a feature was not available in Android phones until now.
Running on the upcoming mobile operating system from Google, Android 15 is set to bring a groundbreaking feature for smartphone users. This feature allows users to locate their phones even when they're powered down. This is made possible through a password-protected search feature and a pre-computed Bluetooth beacon controlled by the device's memory. Some hardware changes will be necessary to enable this feature.
Android expert Mishaal Rahman shared this update on the social media platform X. The feature will be available on upcoming Google smartphones, including the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. However, Google has yet to announce the exact release date for Android 15.
