BJP Leaders Caught Stealing EVMs?
Elections in India have evolved from using ballot papers to Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). However, controversies about EVM tampering have frequently surfaced, especially from losing parties. Recently, a video showing people stealing EVMs has gone viral on social media, claiming BJP leaders are behind this. But is it true? Let's find out!
The video shows a group of people carrying EVMs and loading them onto a truck. A voice in the video accuses BJP leaders of stealing the EVMs, creating a significant uproar, especially with the Lok Sabha elections around the corner. The 27-second clip has been widely shared, with a person in the video alleging, "Look at this BJP scam... stealing EVMs, this is the BJP government." Netizens have been sharing this video, demanding action from the Election Commission of India.
After a thorough fact-check, it has been revealed that the viral video is fake. The claims made in the video are baseless, and it has been confirmed that the individuals in the video are not BJP leaders and the incident depicted is not related to any EVM theft. Such misinformation can cause unnecessary panic and mistrust among the public, especially during election times.
In today's digital age, it's crucial to verify the authenticity of information before sharing it. Misinformation can spread rapidly, creating chaos and confusion. Always rely on credible sources and fact-checking platforms to ensure the news you consume and share is accurate.
