Badshah's 'Free Samay Raina' Shoutout Sparks Online Frenzy 🎤🔥
TL;DR: Rapper Badshah shouted "Free Samay Raina" during a concert, supporting the comedian amid the 'India's Got Latent' controversy. This gesture received mixed reactions online, with some questioning its relevance since Samay Raina hasn't been arrested.
Yo, fam! Guess what went down at Parul University in Vadodara? Our boy Badshah lit up the stage and then dropped a bombshell! 🎤💣 He shouted, "Free Samay Raina," showing mad support for the comedian caught up in the 'India's Got Latent' drama.
For those out of the loop, Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia have been in hot water after a wild remark about parents and sex on their show 'India's Got Latent'. 😬🔥 While many celebs threw shade, Badshah stood up for his buddy.
But hold up! The internet had a field day with this. 😂 Some folks on Reddit were like, "Free Samay Raina? When was he arrested?" Others felt it was a bit extra, pointing out that Samay's chilling in the US playing chess. ♟️🇺🇸
Badshah and Samay go way back. They've teamed up before on the track 'Baawe' with Raftaar and Badshah even popped up on 'India's Got Latent'. 🎶🤝
After the backlash, Samay wiped all episodes of the show from YouTube and said he's all in to cooperate with the authorities. He posted, "Everything that's happening is too much to handle... My only goal was to make people laugh." 😔🛑
MediaFx's Take: In a world where freedom of expression is key, it's crucial to support artists facing backlash. However, gestures should be thoughtful and in tune with the situation. Solidarity is dope, but let's keep it real and relevant. ✊🌟
