🚔 140 Arrested at Hyderabad Pub Raid: What Went Down in Banjara Hills? 🎶😲

News · 2024-10-19T18:40:16.056Z

TL;DR: The Hyderabad Police raided TOS Pub in Banjara Hills, arresting over 100 people, including 42 women, for allegedly engaging in obscene dance performances. The crackdown comes amidst ongoing surveillance efforts targeting illegal activities across the city’s pubs.

Based on a tip-off, a police team stormed the popular TOS Pub and arrested 140 people, including the pub manager, DJ, and cashier. The pub allegedly hired women to perform obscene dances to attract male customers and boost profits 🕺. Police had placed the pub under surveillance for a while, suspecting illegal operations behind closed doors.

This raid is part of a larger crackdown on Hyderabad’s nightlife scene. Last month, drug abuse raids were conducted at Babylon and Quorum Club, where several individuals tested positive for drug consumption. Authorities are determined to clean up Hyderabad’s pub culture, focusing on both drug activities and inappropriate performances 🎧.

Do these raids signal necessary reforms or an overreach into nightlife? Is Hyderabad’s nightlife being unfairly targeted? Drop your opinions in the comments and join the conversation!
